On-Page SEO in Singapore, Done to the Last Tag

The On-Page System That Moves Pages You Already Have From Page 5 to Page 1

You do not need a full rebuild. You need the pages Google already knows about to start earning the rankings they should have earned the first time. Title tags rewritten for CTR, schema markup applied properly, internal linking wired so authority flows, and on-page copy rebuilt around search intent. That is what our on-page SEO team does for Singapore businesses, every page, every month, backed by a 90 day performance guarantee.

The Problem

Why Most On-Page SEO in Singapore Quietly Burns Your Budget

01

Title tags written by a plugin, not a human

Yoast spits out a green light on 40 pages because they all contain the focus keyword. Nobody in Singapore is clicking any of them. The SERP competition is offering curiosity and specificity while your title reads like a 2014 SEO tutorial, and Google rewards the click-through, not the keyword.

02

Schema markup either missing or broken

Your service pages have no LocalBusiness or Service schema, or somebody pasted a broken generator output that Google is quietly ignoring. You watch competitor listings pull rich results, star ratings and FAQ accordions in the SERP while yours sits there as a lonely blue link.

03

Zero internal linking, all authority leaking

Your homepage has nine backlinks, your service pages have none. The authority that should flow to your money pages is dead-ending on the blog. A proper internal linking map moves keywords from page 3 to page 1 without a single new backlink, and almost nobody is doing it in Singapore.

04

Content thin enough that a freelancer could beat you

Your service page has 280 words and two stock photos. The number 3 ranking in your category has 1,800 words, a video embed, a comparison table, and a dozen internal links. Google does not rank what you wish you had written, it ranks what is actually on the page.

A Letter From The Founder
Jim Ng, Founder of Best SEO Singapore

Why on-page SEO is the cheapest revenue lift almost nobody in Singapore bothers to execute properly.

From the desk of Jim Ng, Founder of Best Marketing Agency Pte Ltd.

The first 30 audits I ever ran on Singapore businesses had the same problem in slightly different costumes. The site had 40 or 50 pages indexed. A handful of them ranked in positions 8 to 25 for keywords that would actually move revenue. And the on-page work on those pages was somewhere between absent and openly embarrassing.

One legal firm in the CBD had a primary service page targeting a keyword worth around $18,000 a month in category spend. The title tag read “Services”. The meta description was auto-generated from the first paragraph. Zero schema. Zero internal links pointing into it. 320 words of generic copy. They had already paid three agencies by the time I saw it, and every one of them had proposed a rebuild instead of fixing the page that was already one position away from the money.

On-page SEO is not glamorous. It is not a rebuild, it is not a rebrand, it is not something you can put on a slide deck to impress a board. It is title tags and schema and internal links and content depth, grinded through by a senior strategist who knows what moves the needle and what does not. Which is exactly why almost nobody bothers to do it well. Most agencies would rather sell you a content cluster or a link building campaign, because those projects photograph nicely on a case study. The fact that an on-page rewrite on 18 existing pages will beat both of those for ROI in the first 90 days is not something they advertise.

In six years we have run on-page SEO engagements for 146 clients across 43 industries in Singapore. The pattern is painfully consistent. About 60 percent of the ranking lift comes from the first 90 days of on-page work, before we have published a single new article or built a single new backlink. You are welcome to browse our Best SEO Singapore portfolio to see the before and after on public URLs, or jump into a 14-section SEO audit if you want us to run the diagnostic on your own pages first.

I still review every on-page strategy before it goes out. If the pages you already own are leaving revenue on the table, which they almost certainly are, we will tell you exactly how much, which fix earns it back, and how long it will take. That is the job.

The On-Page Method

The 7-Phase On-Page SEO Playbook

Refined across six years, 146 clients, and more than 4,000 individual page optimisations in Singapore. Every engagement moves through exactly this sequence. Nothing skipped.

01

Crawl + Rank Audit

We pull every indexable URL on your site through Screaming Frog, match it against Search Console ranking data, and flag pages in striking distance (positions 4 to 20). Those get queued first, because they move revenue fastest.

02

SERP Intent Diagnosis

For each target page we reverse-engineer what Google is rewarding on that exact query in Singapore. Informational, commercial, transactional, local. The entire on-page rewrite is then briefed to match that intent, not what the sales team wishes the keyword meant.

03

Title Tag + Meta Rewrite

Every title is rewritten for CTR, not keyword density, with character counts optimised for SERP display in Singapore. Every meta description becomes an ad for the click. We have watched a meta rewrite alone lift organic clicks 45 percent without moving the rank.

04

Heading + Content Depth

H1 through H4 structure remapped to the brief. Content depth benchmarked against the top 5 competing URLs, then rewritten by a Singapore-based senior writer to close the gap. No AI filler, no 'just add more words', no generic advice that is already on page 1.

05

Schema Markup

Article, Service, LocalBusiness, FAQPage, HowTo, Product, Breadcrumb, Organization. Applied where relevant, validated in Rich Results Test, monitored in Search Console for coverage errors. Rich snippets are free SERP real estate you are leaving on the table.

06

Internal Linking Map

We build an internal linking graph across your site so authority from your high-traffic pages flows into your money pages. Anchor text diversified, orphan pages eliminated, crawl paths cleaned. The single most underrated on-page lever there is.

07

Re-Index + Track

Every optimised URL is re-submitted through Search Console, tracked daily on rank position, and reviewed monthly against click-through rate, impressions, and GA4 revenue attribution. Pages that stall get re-optimised at our cost, not yours.

Proof

Singapore Businesses Whose Pages We Have Rewritten

Every ranking result below is backed by Search Console data and live URLs we will walk you through on the first call.

Industrial B2B, crane services

Pollisum

#1
Both money keywords

Moved 'lorry crane singapore' and 'mobile crane singapore' to position #1 with on-page rewrites on existing service pages

Pollisum already had the service pages. They just read like industry brochures written in 2017, with 240 word descriptions, no schema, and no internal linking. We rewrote every commercial-intent page around buyer language, added Service and LocalBusiness schema, wired an internal linking graph, and watched both primary money keywords climb from positions 6 and 9 to #1 in under 120 days. No new pages published, no new backlinks built.

Heritage Japanese bakery

Oishi Pan Bakery

5/5
Outlet pages page 1

Outlet pages ranked page 1 for every location-specific search in Singapore within 6 months

Five outlet pages, all using the same template with the suburb name swapped out. We rewrote each one with real local context, unique H1s and title tags, proper LocalBusiness schema per outlet, and internal links to the parent category. 'Japanese bakery near me' now triggers measurable walk-in traffic per outlet, tracked in their POS system.

E-commerce, flower delivery

Windflower Florist

+42%
Organic revenue, one quarter

Collection page rewrite lifted organic revenue 42% in a single quarter

Windflower's collection pages were ranking in positions 5 to 12 for category keywords with massive buyer intent. We rewrote the on-page copy, added Product and CollectionPage schema, built internal links from supporting blog content, and re-tiered the heading structure. Organic revenue on the rewritten collection pages climbed 42 percent in a quarter without a single new page shipped.

Children's swimming academy

JustSwim Singapore

4/4
Branches page 1

Branch pages for Punggol, Katong, Bukit Timah and Jurong all hit page 1 for 'swimming lessons + suburb' searches

Four branch pages, ranked between positions 11 and 28 at kickoff. We rewrote each around parent buyer intent, added LocalBusiness + FAQPage schema, deepened on-page content with real parent questions and answers, and wired internal links from the homepage and blog. All four branches sit on page 1 for their suburb-specific queries and contribute measurable enrolment volume every month.

FAQ

On-Page SEO in Singapore, Answered Directly

QWhat exactly is on-page SEO and why does it matter in Singapore?

On-page SEO is everything Google sees when it crawls a single URL: the title tag, the meta description, the heading structure, the schema markup, the internal linking, the on-page copy, the image alt attributes, and the page speed. In Singapore where almost every competitive keyword has 5 to 8 well-optimised competitors on page 1, the on-page work is often the single highest-leverage investment you can make. We have pushed pages from position 14 to position 3 with nothing more than a title tag rewrite and a schema fix, because the content was already there.

QHow much does on-page SEO cost in Singapore?

Stand-alone on-page SEO projects for a single site typically run from $2,800 for up to 25 pages (audit, rewrite, publish) to $8,500 for a 100 plus page rebuild across a large service catalogue or e-commerce store. Ongoing on-page SEO as part of a full retainer starts from $2,300 per month. Any agency quoting you $300 for on-page SEO on a 40 page site is running a templated script with zero human thinking attached, which is exactly why it never moves rankings.

QHow long before on-page SEO fixes show up in Google?

Title tag and meta description changes typically re-index within 3 to 10 days and you see ranking movement inside 30 to 60 days. Schema markup and internal linking compound over 60 to 120 days. Content depth rewrites on commercial pages usually show their full lift by month 4. These are the timelines we have seen across 146 clients in Singapore, not the fantasy two-week promises other agencies put in their pitch deck.

QDo you only work on WordPress, or does on-page SEO apply to Shopify, Webflow and custom sites too?

We have executed on-page SEO across WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce, Webflow, Squarespace, Wix, and a handful of bespoke Next.js and Laravel builds. The playbook is platform-agnostic. The only thing that changes is how we get the schema, metas and internal links into the template, which is a 20 minute question we answer in your first working session, not a reason to refuse the engagement.

QWill on-page SEO rank my site if I have zero backlinks?

Sometimes. For low to medium competition local Singapore keywords (neighbourhood services, niche B2B, long-tail informational queries), clean on-page SEO alone is often enough to reach page 1 inside 90 days. For high competition commercial keywords in categories like legal, finance or e-commerce jewellery, you will need a link building component running alongside the on-page work. We tell you up front which bucket your target keywords fall into, and quote accordingly.

QWhat is the difference between on-page SEO and technical SEO?

On-page SEO is everything content-facing on a single URL: the title, metas, headings, copy, schema, internal links, and image optimisation. Technical SEO is everything site-wide: crawl health, indexation, canonicals, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, redirects, and hreflang. The two overlap, and in practice we run them together because fixing title tags while your robots.txt still blocks the pages is a waste of everyone's time. See our technical SEO service for the infrastructure side.

QCan you show me on-page SEO work you have done for other Singapore businesses?

Yes. On our first call we walk you through live pages we have optimised for Windflower Florist, JustSwim Singapore, Oishi Pan Bakery, and Pollisum. You see the title tag we replaced, the schema we added, the internal link map we built, and the Search Console data showing the position move after we shipped. No case study slideshow, just the live URLs and the ranking data.

QDo you use AI tools for on-page SEO or is it all manual?

We use Ahrefs, DataForSEO, Screaming Frog and Search Console for the audit and prioritisation. Schema generation is partly AI-assisted because correctness matters and humans make typos. Title and meta rewrites are drafted by a Singapore writer and reviewed by a senior strategist, never generated by AI, because CTR on the SERP is where the real money hides and AI metas read like AI metas. The human judgement on what to optimise first is the entire job.

QWhat happens to the on-page SEO if I cancel the retainer?

Everything we have shipped stays on your site. No clawback, no licencing, no pages held hostage. The title tags we rewrote, the schema we added, the internal linking map, the on-page copy, all of it becomes yours on publication. This is the point. On-page SEO is an infrastructure investment you get to keep, not a rental.

QHow do you measure whether on-page SEO is actually working?

Three numbers on a monthly dashboard. Keyword positions for your top 20 target queries, organic click-through rate from Search Console (because a meta rewrite can lift CTR 30 percent without moving position), and organic conversions attributed in GA4. If any of the three stalls for 60 days we renegotiate scope at our cost. This sits behind our 90-day performance guarantee.
